I'm supposed to list seven things about me, and here I chose to put what's been on my mind; those thoughts that have been clouding up my noggin.  So here goes...

Seven things that has been on my mind:

1.  I've been having a case of baby envy these past months. Seeing friends I've grown up with getting married and having children is hitting me very hard. I'm feeling that longing and ache for my own children, so much so that I am green with envy seeing others with children. It's not a bad thing, I adore children and I am happy for friends/relatives over their bundle of joy... but I feel a little left out and wistful. I can't wait for my turn :)
2. I am needing and anticipating a career change. I'm at the end of my tether and just am constantly on edge. The knot of tension in my head and heart is threatening my health and sanity. I desperately want to get out. I am just waiting for that one good offer, then I'm out the door. I'll be sad to leave this team that I have come to think of as family, but for my sake, I would need to go.
3. I am angry at myself for letting myself put on so much weight in the past few months. Another reason why I should get out of this desk job. Sitting in front of the pc all day is making all that energy turn into unwanted bulges. If only I had the time to go walking in the park or something.
4. I'm working on two short stories. Don't know whether they'll ever see the light of day, but I'm hoping to get them finished at least, cos I'm not a fiction writer, I don't really have it in me to write about someone else. But every now and then, the inspiration strikes, it's just that often they just stay as beginnings and unfinished paragraphs. I hope these two would make it through. One is a rewrite of "Usually" the other is inspired by Tori Amos' Comic Book Tattoo. I'm writing a story based on A Sorta Fairytale.
5. I know this is mighty racist to say, but it's just been on my mind and it's pretty grating, so bear with me. Eversince my hellish nightmare of an experience living with my previous housemates who took my things, swindled me out of cash, who were insensitive and immature, who were careless and did not lock the doors/close the windows which caused my laptop to get stolen (lest they themselves took it), I've been hating hearing people speak in, well, the language they speak. The sound of it plummets me to a sorta rage that makes my blood boil. I know that their attitude and ignorance has nothing to do with where they come from or the language they speak, it is their character that makes them so, but hearing that same language just brings back bad bad memories. 
6. I am planning the launch of Project Reconnect. What is that? Well, it's my own personal project and goal to reconnect with friends that I have been out of touch with. Particularly Hamzah, Alfred, Suneetha, Ajan/Sya/Nadiah, Elwyn, the BENDits, the Twisties and many many more. I feel like I have been distancing myself too much and need to get back to my roots.
7. Having been to weddings and hearing/reading/finding out that more and more friends are getting married, I'm starting to feel the pressure. This day and age, the age I am now is considered somewhat too early to wed; so maybe it's still too early to get worried, but that doesn't mean I don't want it or don't think about it. But pressure aside, I want to, even if not now then sooner or later. And I can hardly wait. But it'll come when it does. Some things are worth waiting for, and when it happens, it'll be awesome :) *No pressure Sayang, you know my heart already belongs to you.

Yes, and almost always from strangers. Getting stalked in shopping complexes by guys trying to push peddle their phone numbers to me are not strange; scary though :p

Since I took this from FB, it was taken during Mimi's wedding in Ampang. If it's the Blogger picture, it was taken the next day after Ash and I were official, at my house in Seremban.

I don't have one. Unless you wanna count the 'binti'.

Happily unavailable and taken :))

5.) Does your crush like you back?
Erm, re: above, taken; so no crush.

6.) What is your current mood?
Hungry...

7.) What color of underwear are you wearing?
Errr.....white with blue buterflies.

8.) What color shirt are you wearing?
Not shirt, but a red dress with white flowers on them.

9.) Missing something?
Someone: My Sayang <3

10.) If you could go back in time and change something, what would you do?
Nothing. If I changed anything, it might jeopardize the wonderfulness of my life today :) But if I had to choose, I'd probably go back in time and rescue my cats whom I sorely miss til now.

11.) If you must be an animal for one day, what would it be?
I want to be a bird of prey cos I wanna fly, but I don't want to be gobbled up by bigger birds :p

12.) Ever had a near death experience?
Erm... I don't think I have. But I once almost drowned in a river.

13.) Something you do a lot?
Squeeze the pores on my nose...I do it so annoyingly much that the skin of nose keeps peeling.

14.) The song stuck in your head?

17.) When was the last time you cried?.
On the phone with my Encik Sedil some weeks back when I felt demotivated and dejected.

Yes, a few times in front of the entire school.

19.) If you could have one super power what would it be?
Strength. So that I can go anywhere without fear.

20.) What's the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
The eyes. But I have a thing for hands, too :p

I'm not Hazlin.

Blue.

24.) Do you still watch kiddie movies or tv shows?
I do on occasion. But I prefer serious movies and tv shows.

At the moment, nothing.

Myself; a product of my choices, judgment and thought.

Work, and also figuring out my team's costume for dress up day.

People whose names I won't mention. No one tells me what to do, or can/cannot do, and these two thought they could.

As often as my undeserving self can.

36.) Do you like working in the yard?
Not really. I probably wouldn't mind so much if I wasn't a mosquito magnet.

37.) If you could have any last name in the world, what would you want?
A last name would mean changing my father's name, thus, I would be someone else's child. So honestly, I don't want one.

38.) Do you act differently around the person you like?
Maybe. But if I'm comfortable with him, after a while, I'd be my normal self.

Dark brown.

40.) Who was the last person to make you cry?
I don't remember. I usually cry by my own accord, and never give the satisfaction to a person who deem that I would break to their manipulations.

Due to the fact that the purpose of this blog is for me to have an outlet, and not really for the purpose of people actually reading it; I doubt that there'll actually be much response to this. - Aaaw, that's really flattering, but I'm happily taken. So I have to say, no, I don't care.

- Fell hardest for? I'm still with him right now :)

- Last month at my Aunty Zah's house when my aunt was sick and was in ICU in DSH.

- Not just one one best friend. I have many good friends.

- Sinus and cigarettes don't mix; so no, I don't and have never tried, even.

- My family.

- Yes. Most of the time I am not in a convenient situation to have conversations on the phone, so I prefer texting.

- 24 and 4 months, approximately.

- Last week, with a felt pen.

- A little of both. I talk about my feelings because I feel comfortable with them and sometimes hide it because I don't want them to think of me in a bad way.

- Used to...haven't in a long time. Although I think I would need them again soon. I wonder whether my company covers that...? Cos my line of work requires me to stare at the monitor for hours on end and my eyesight will definitely soon deteriorate.

- Hehe...The mark of our first year together :))

- A little gloomy. But otherwise, usually upbeat and positive.

- I'm so used to them that I hardly feel it anymore. But I like watching the various people you meet on them.

- A car. I wanna drive my car now. Please, pretty please?

- Cheese. Or maybe carrot & walnut.

- A very messy table top.

- Yes, I do.

- Occasionally, yes. Mainly cos I don't have the luxury to go on my own, and I mostly go grocery shopping with family.

- Rambutans? Or apples, maybe? Or is it honeydew? Or watermelon? I dunno...I don't think I have a favourite.

- Not at the moment. I am too out of shape.

- I think I have, yes.

- Different shades of blue.

83. Do you hate someone very badly at this moment?
- I don't hate. So I don't think so, no. Or just my reviewer....just a teensy bit, just right now.

- Definitely! In fact, he lives in my room, and Ash doesn't like him :p

- Windy, but humid, nonetheless.

- If you don't mind me saying, yes I do.

- Three on each ear.

88. What language do you speak at home?
- Rojak.

89. How do you feel about your family?
- Dysfunctional. For the most part, they are affectionate, unconditionally loving, nurturing and ever concern; but occasionally, they can grate on my nerves. I am just one person; and cannot be pulled every which way and that.

90. What time did you go to bed yesterday?
- 12.00am. I was tired and just wanted to sleep after a long day.

91. What CD is currently in your CD player?
- The Beekeeper from Tori Amos

92. What do you want for Christmas this year?
- It's not so much about Christmas, it's about my 24th birthday... And I want those who matter with me on that day; like last year. Don't care much for presents if the people I care about the most are by my side.

93. Favorite ice-cream?
- Green tea

94. What's the way people most often mispronounce any part of your name?
- This is Malaysia, and usually they pronounce everything baku, and yet, when it comes to my name which is clearly pronounced the way it is spelt; some people pronounce it: Hezlin, Hazeline, Hezrin, Hezelin, Hizlin, Haz-line etc. It's annoying.

95. Lastly, whats your favourite colors?
- Blue, Red, Black, Pink.

I forewarn you, I'm no movie buff and I generally find mainstream movies not to my liking (i.e. chick flicks, comedies, romance); so many on this here list are partly accidental viewings or cos I was dragged to watch it, or cos I was bored. Hence, barely half of the titles are marked with an X. Yes, I have no life when it comes to movies. Mostly cos I spend mine elsewhere. My choice of movies are eccentric at best, and hence, not easy to find.

7 facts you may not know about me

• I would have had another sibling three years younger than I am. But my mother miscarried.
• I dislike being called 'Ayin' by my peers. It's a name reserved only for family, whether immediate or extended. But I suppose someone overheard it being used and decided to use it, too. I personally prefer 'Lin' or my actual name, even.
• I was actually due to be born on the 4th of January 1986; and nowhere within 1985.
• I would have been named either Sarah (my mum's idea), Heidi (also mum's) or Azlin (my mother's); but my father objected to all of them, particularly 'Azlin'. Him having the initial 'A' provided him with much experience of being called first for everything.
• I have a birthmark on my right arm; just a darkened patch of skin.
• I only act ditzy for the satisfaction of seeing a person's face change when their perception of me is proven wrong. Or, so to not seem like an exasperating know-all. Or, so to not draw too much attention to myself. But for the most part, to get out of trouble.
• I am of no mix heritage (as far as I know, anyway), nor have I ever lived overseas; contrary to popular belief(s).
